Dr.H.D.Palekar, Head of Saturday First Surgical Unit, was transfered from  Sir.T. Hospital and Medicall College Bhavnagar and he was given charge of the unit of Dr.S.S.Vyas , who had retired from the services.The Unit of Dr.Sharad Vyas came into existence in 1998, Dr.Sharad Vyas  inherited the Unit from the then Unit Head Dr.V.C.Doshi on his Retirement in  1998 .Before becoming the Unit Head of Monday Surgical Unit  Dr.Sharad Vyas.  was posted as Professor & Head of Friday Unit
